Janet was born on July 7, 1942, in Washington, DC the daughter of Leonard and Dr. Camilla Anderson Friendly. She grew up in Washington, DC and in 1947, the family moved to Salt Lake City, UT where Janet attended schools. The family moved to several places including, Seattle, WA, Salem, OR and then on to California. Her father died in 1960 and they remained in California. Her mother retired in 1969 and in 1971 they moved to Sidney, MT to live. Janet moved into the Svarre Group Home in February of 1990 and lived there for two years. For one year Janet lived at the TLC Living Complex before moving back home. Her mother died in March of 2001 and Janet moved into the Sidney Health Center Extended Care Facility in April of 2001, where she lived until her death. Janet was a member of the Special Olympics and the Red Hats Society. She enjoyed putting puzzles together and coloring. Janet also enjoyed watching TV game shows especially the ones hosted by Jack Narz. She had a special relationship with him, where he would send her gifts and cards from where ever he was. Words were Janet’s friend. Janet died on Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care Facility. Surviving her are: numerous cousins including her guardian, Mary Seigfreid, Sidney, MT. She was preceded in death by her parents.

| Memorial service for Janet Friendly, 67, of Sidney, MT, is 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 20, at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care Facility with Pastor Sarah Ackre of the Pella Lutheran Church officiating. |
