Visitation will be on Thursday, June 12 from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on June 13 from 8:00 A.M. until noon at the Fulkerson Memorial Chapel. There will be visitation one hour prior to the service at the Pella Lutheran Church in Sidney.

Funeral service for Jessie Rosaaen, 91, of Sidney, MT is 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 13, 2008 at the Pella Lutheran Church with Pastor George Karres, Pastor Josh Magyar, and Pastor David Huskamp officiating. Musical selection are provided by Pastor George Karres, Pastor Josh Magyar, and Doris Norby. Casketbearers are: Daryl Sheehan, Leonard Haase, Jim Miller, Jeff Haase, Cynthia Baines, and Bill Harris. Honorary casketbearers are: All of Jessie’s grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ushers are Stanley Rosaaen and Robert Whiteman.

Interment will be in the Richland Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney.

Jessie was born on August 17, 1916, in Richey, MT, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Ackerson) Whiteman. She grew up and attended country schools in the Richey area. Jessie was united in marriage to Clarence Rosaaen on September 21, 1933 in Sidney, MT. Following the marriage they made their home on the farm in the Lane Community N E of Richey, where they raised their six children. In 1955, they moved into Sidney where Jessie worked at the Bakery, South 40, and she babysat a mess of kids. Her husband Clarence died in August of 1997 and Jessie remained in Sidney. She entered the Sidney Health Center Extended Care Facility on February 13, 2004.
Jessie was a member of the Pella Lutheran Church in Sidney. She enjoyed baking, cooking, canning, and embroidering. She really enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. After Jessie entered the Extended Care, she enjoyed bingo, going to church, their special music, visits with family and friends. Jessie was a spirit lifter at the Extended Care.
Jessie died on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Sidney Health Center Extended Care Facility in Sidney, MT.
Surviving her are: her son, Rodger (Margaret) Rosaaen, Sidney, MT; her three daughters, Verna Sheehan, Shirley (Leo) Miller, and Gloria (Steve) Harris, all of Sidney, MT; two sisters-in-law, June Whiteman and Evelyn Williams, Sidney, MT; 29 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband-Clarence, her two daughters, Doris Thorson and Charlotte Anderson, son-in-law-Charles Sheehan, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 4 great grandchildren, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters.
