Aric Lee Quarne was born October 12, 1988 to Greg Quarne and Stephanie Miller in Williston, North Dakota. Hew as baptized at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, confirmed at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and was a member of the Lutheran Brethren Fellowship Church.

As a young child, Aric played many sports, including basketball, baseball, and hockey. He continued playing hockey through his freshman year, particularly enjoying the goalie position.

Aric found great excitement in skateboarding and rollerblading. He and his friends spent many hours wearing out the ramps and rails in his grandparents' driveway, which led to the pursuit of the development of the Williston Skate Park at Harmon Park.

Music was Aric's heart and soul. His passion for music was never ending, beginning in grade school through class plays, violin lessons, teaching himself to play guitar, piano, drums, and even the mandolin. At Williston High School, he was a member of the Swing Choir, Concert Chorale and Madrigal Choir. He performed in many WHS Pops Concerts, which included composing and performing his own music. Aric found his place in the local music scene and always found ways to contribute to it by playing, touring, or just enjoying the shows. Long lasting friendships were made across the state through his music.

Aric graduated from Williston High School in 2007. While in high school, he was on the speech team and student council. One of his most rewarding experiences was his Close Up trip to the east coast.

Upon graduation, he moved to Grand Forks and worked in various positions before returning to Williston in mid-October, where he continued to pursue his love of music.

Aric's faith, friendships and his music will continue to touch the lives of his family and friends, always.

He is survived by his parents, Greg (Char) Quarne and Stephanie (Oliver) Buseth both of Williston, ND; brother, Ryan Quarne and his special friend, Bethany Schneider of Grand Forks, ND; step-brothers, Brock Hansen of Bozeman, MT, Travis Hansen and his children Shawn and Shaylee Brown of Fargo, ND, Mike Buseth and his daughter Athena of Minot, ND; step-sister, Shanda (Steve) Boyer and their daughter Taylor of Clinton, UT, Angie (Robert) Catania and their son Nicolas of Los Angeles, CA; and grandparents, Oscar and Lila Quarne, Lavern and Lillian Miller, Cal and Dorothy Watterud, all of Williston, ND, and Ed and Rose Keller of Harvey, ND; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
