Blanche Hendrickson, 79, of White Earth, ND, died Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Tioga Medical Center in Tioga.

Blanche Hendrickson was born in Powers Lake, North Dakota August 16, 1932 to Hjelmer and Martha (Pierson) Schroeder. She attended school in North Dakota as well as in Washington.

In 1950 Blanche married Oliver Holen, who was a taxi driver in Minot. They moved to Wyoming for a short time and moved back to North Dakota. Oliver went to Washington to start a job at Boeing, and Blanche moved all six children and a dog in a 1952 Mercury to Washington. Blanche got a job as an electronics assembler.

Oliver passed away in 1996. In 1998 Blanche married long time family friend, Irvin Hendrickson. Shortly after that Blanche and Irvin moved to White Earth, North Dakota. Due to circumstances, Blanche entered into Tioga Long Term Care in 2009, and on September 26, 2011, God requested her presence by his side.

Surviving Blanche are her children, Oliver Holden, Jr. of Carnation, WA, Donald Holen of Monroe, WA, Michael Holen of Duvall, WA, Kathy Gilmore and Linda Knapinski both of White Earth, ND and Sandy West of Carnation, WA; husband, Irvin Hendrickson of White Earth, ND; brothers, LeRoy Schroeder of White Earth, ND and Vern Schroeder of Crane, MT; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Oliver; grandson, Jack Knapinski, Jr.; and an infant brother.
