In grade school we were pleased to receive new classmates Arlan and Clifford in Palermo. Arlan and Randall took me home for an overnight to show me that cows, not just bulls, have horns, Arlan had many friends and I do not know anyone that did not like him. Even Milo who took the screws out of his desk top hinges was his close friend. When Arlan opened the top with gusto it broke off. This desk was immediately hoisted to the attic above the girls’ lavatory and, I think, it is still there.

Arlan was a fine man and my thoughts are with Joann and the family.

God bless you all as you travel through this difficult time. Whenever bumping into Arlan there was a smile, a little story and genuine kindness. He will truly be missed & remembered.
