Arlene, I was saddened to read of Harold's passing. I fondly remember all the evenings doing ceramics at your house and Harold teasing us as we worked on our projects. We were sorry to hear about Harold's passing. He was an awesome husband & father. He didn't miss any of his children's, grandchildren, & greatgrandchildrens functions. He would come to parties Bettyjane was at & dance with her. She would get excited each time her parents would come through the door. Harold was a loving, kind, & understanding person. He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace Harold.

Arlene and family,
It was very nice that Troy called us and informed us about Harold’s death. We are cousins on the Svendsen side and always enjoyed their visits with dad and mom....Reuben and Vernice Svendsen of Lawler. Wish it wouldn’t have been 800 miles to attend the funeral and a busy time of the year for me....tax season. Arlene you will be getting a letter from us soon. Harold is now in charge of Heaven!

Harold was a great guy. My memories of him date back to the day I saw him standing outside the old Mercy Hospital with a grim expression. As we talked I realized that here was a man deeply committed to his family. That moment has stayed in my memory for the past 51 years of my marriage. What a fine father and a wonderful family I grew to know over many years. Thank you Harold.

We had such good times square dancing in the 80's! Square dances, conventions, yummy lunches! More dancing: Harold & Arlene invited Tom & me to stay with them in their motor home for Norsk Hostfest. We danced all day in each hall plus attended the dance in the evening. Fun times! I missed those times after Tom passed away :-( May God hold you close with special memories! Arlene and family, We are so sorry for your loss....Harold was awesome! Dad has always told me the story that when he worked for Hardy Salt, they would intentionally "break" the sewing machine,so Harold could come fix it, and, as Dad said Harold would say, "Lets play a couple hands. We got time for a couple hands." They were always glad to see him, enjoyed playing cards then,p and hated to see him leave. I remember him from ceramics on Saturdays, he was always so patient even though I had a thousand questions!
