Steve had a special spot in my heart since growing up together in a small community. He offered to take me to my Senior Prom even thou he was cousin. That night I ended up having two escorts. When he was in the service he brought me back dolls from Korea. We were very close then life happened and we grew apart. I will miss him dearly. My prayers go out to Joanne and his pride and joy his children.

I'm so sorry to hear about Steve!! He was such a nice man and always a gentleman. He was so very proud of his children and beamed about his grandkids. Joanne was the love of his life and adored her; my prayers to you Joanne and your family during this time. I'm so very sorry. God bless. All my love.

I have the some of my Best childhood memories with both Uncle Steve and Aunt Jo.
When I was a kid, I thought Steve was the coolest guy ever! I remember one day in particular when he read a book to me outside Grandma and Grandpa Finks house on an old cotton tree stump. I was so wrapped up in this cool guy reading a book to me, I forgot to pay attention to the story! It’s one of my earliest memories, but he is part of so many great memories. Hunting, fishing, camping, puppies, taking me to the mine and being dumbfounded that the tires on the equipment were bigger than I was. Then there were always the weekend trips to Savage that were the best!
Steve has always had a special place in my heart. He is loved and will be terribly missed.
My heart goes out to Jo, Brad, Christa, Jolyn, Braden, and all of his beautiful grandchildren.
