Dear Kathy, Mike and family,
I am so sorry for your huge loss. I, too lost a good friend---someone who I could confide in when I needed advise. I so admired her faith and generosity. She truly cared for others. Just before she went to the hospital, I called her and had a nice visit---she asked how I was feeling and I said I was doing so much better. She said, "Now that makes me feel so good." That was Shirley and I will miss her so much.

I used to visit with Shirley everyday when I worked at Mercy. We had many lunches and coffee visits! She was always smiling and positive! My prayers are with you.

Kathie
I was saddened to hear of the loss of your precious mother. She was such a kind person with a quick wit and smile. I always enjoyed getting to visit her when she worked at Mercy and later as an Auxiliary volunteer. She often had a story about her dog.

To Kathie and Mike and Family,
What a great friend Shirley was to us for the 11 years we lived in Williston. We will never forget the many breakfasts that we shared with Shirley and the crew after Sunday Masses. At those breakfasts, we would talk about football which she loved to watch. I believe she was a Nortre Dame fan.
She was truly a lady who lived her faith to the fullest. She was one of the first to welcome us to St. Joseph's Parish and her kindness will never be forgotten. We wish we could be there for the funeral, but we know that Shirley will always be in our hearts.
She is now serving the Lord in heaven which was her ultimate goal. We will never forget her.
