what an interesting life he had and doing what he loved the most, ranching and horses. I will always cherish the beautiful bridle he just made for me last year ! What an honor to have known him, good man.

I met Howard at the Legacy Lodge in Killdeer. He lived across the hall from my Mom, Shirley Hawkinson. I held the door open for him many times for him to get into his apartment with his wheelchair. I would kid with him about him wearing his leather gloves as he got used to his wheelchair. I would ask why he wouldn't turn up the heat, so he didn't have to wear gloves inside ;-) My family enjoyed visiting with him when we were back in town. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I'm very sorry to hear of Howard's passing. I got to know Howard & Ollie in the Dormitory while going to Killdeer High School. Class of 1947. My condolences to his two sons and their families. He was one of the nicest friends any one could ask for. May he rest in peace!
